SVC towards biomedical design
The SVC Winery Project flew to Düsseldorf to meet new companies in the packaging sector and learn more about all the process technologies related to this sector.
The Interpack trade fair takes place every three years and covers all packaging and packaging devices and systems, with a focus on food and beverage.
The pavilions, arranged according to clear sectoral themes, facilitate orientation in the approximately 250,000 square metres of exhibition space, enabling visitors to find what they are looking for in a simple and orderly manner and to come into contact with all the possibilities offered by the world market.
Using target groups, the event was divided into seven different areas: food industry, beverages, confectionery and bakery, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, non-food products and industrial goods.
Around 2,700 companies from all over the world presented solutions, technologies and answers and contributed to defining trends that will characterise the entire value chain for years to come.
Packaging conveys all the information that companies want to transfer to their target market as well as being the main decorative element for products.
The topic of sustainability and recycling has also been a major driver for machine manufacturers who have adapted their portfolios to packaging made of mono-materials or innovative materials;
The current challenges inherent to energy management and resource protection are inevitably leading to a transformation of the industry, which is called upon to provide global solutions and to meet high standards with regard to product safety, counterfeit prevention and traceability.
Digital technologies that will reduce time to market and design higher-performance goods through sensor technology and artificial intelligence algorithms were also in the spotlight.
