The Success of Cantina Jazz: Between Wine, Music, and Science
This year’s edition of Cantina Jazz, promoted by SVC, concluded with enormous success. The event offered the audience in Pisa a unique sensory experience, exploring the profound synergy between wine and music.
The initiative, in collaboration with the University of Pisa and the CNR within the Cantina 5.0 project, made it possible to scientifically investigate the physiological and emotional responses triggered by specific musical harmonies during tastings.
Participants had the opportunity to contribute, through the use of special sensors, to the monitoring of certain parameters aimed at exploring the evocative power of these two elements and at understanding how their interaction influences perceptions and moods.
Beyond the scientific component, the event also celebrated oenological excellence. The wineries selected for the tasting stood out for their strong commitment to environmental and social sustainability, in line with SVC’s mission. The company, in fact, is dedicated to developing solutions that promote workers’ well-being and enhance the organoleptic qualities of products. This choice allowed the pleasure of tasting to be combined with ethical and environmental values.
The success of Cantina Jazz is the result of fruitful collaboration among various cultural and academic institutions. The Cinema Arsenale, Alfea Cinematografica, the Sinestetica Music Association, and the AIS (Italian Sommelier Association) of Pisa contributed significantly. Thanks to this joint effort, the event became an unprecedented sensory exploration, offering the public evenings of culture, pleasure, and scientific discovery.
2024
TFU American Football
Every year, the SVC Winery Project supports local and national activities, aligning its brand and image with initiatives of public interest. For the 2024/2025 season, the focus has turned to the sports sector in Pisa, particularly to American football, a team sport originated from rugby, which is experiencing a steady increase in the number of spectators and enthusiasts.
The facilities of CUS, which hosted the national championships for the first time, provided a perfect backdrop for the inaugural match held on May 26.
The Pisa-based team, TFU, has recruited the most talented young players to face rivals such as the Steelers, Panthers, and Warriors, top representatives of Italian football.
This is an important year for flag football, which, following a favorable vote from the Olympic committee, has been included among the sports eligible for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. The FIDAF (Italian Federation of American Football) is therefore intensifying sports and competitive activities across the territory, ensuring proper training for athletes.
For that reason, we’re proud to join this growing sports reality by supporting TFU and its young talents. The agreement includes the team’s participation in events and initiatives promoting football in Tuscany, as well as active support for the athletes’ training.
Through this partnership, SVC is dedicated to promoting the values of sports and personal development, which are in perfect alignment with its corporate philosophy.
